MENNEKES 2025 Highlights: Plug-In Plant Equipment and Refrigeration Logistics Products

In industries with challenging production goals or harsh environments, it’s important to partner with a company that not only provides quality, innovative electrical products but also has the expertise to address unique challenges. At Mennekes, they have a long history of driving innovation in demanding industries, including cold storage, welding and fabrication, data centers and clean energy, to name a few. This blog post showcases their electrical products that enhance safety, reliability and flexibility, with examples from the industrial manufacturing and cold storage sectors.

Enabling Flexible Industrial Manufacturing

Manufacturers have embraced flexible manufacturing systems which give them the ability to quickly respond to changing production needs with minimal downtime. Examples include prefabricated modular manufacturing cells and roll away equipment with quick electrical connections. Mennekes plug-in plant equipment gives manufacturers the flexibility to implement flexible manufacturing strategies. Product highlights include:

  • IEC 60309 Pin and Sleeve Devices. Rated at 20, 30, 60 and 100A for various equipment load requirements, their non-metallic, impact-resistant housing also boosts safety.
  • AMAXX® Power Distribution. Enhancing flexibility, AMAXX® power distribution units can be configured with multiple receptacles to solve various equipment and floor requirements. Washdown and temperature resistant, the switched and interlocked receptacle modules assure “no-load” connection of plant equipment for operator safety.
  • Switched and Interlocked Receptacles. Available with 20 to 100-A ratings, these compact units feature a patented interlocking mechanism to assure no-load mating and disconnecting of portable equipment.
  • Sloped-Top Stainless-Steel Disconnects. SLP Series disconnects are ideal for hygiene-critical environments. The 15-degree sloped roof aids in liquid runoff. SpecMAXX® customizable enclosures also offer compact installation for multiple disconnects or receptacles.

Ensuring Safe, Reliable Wiring for Refrigeration Logistics

Cold storage logistic centers and food and beverage plants increasingly rely on standby electric shore power and reefer wiring devices that help them comply with CARB and EPA regulations. In this type of environment, electrical devices must stand up to harsh conditions while operating at 380 to 440V AC or 460 to 480 AC. Mennekes wiring devices are available in these configurations to support sea container reefers and Vector or Precedent 30-A standby refrigeration units.

One such product family, AMAXX® configurable power distribution units offer a safe and cost-effective solution for reefer receptacles in dock and trailer staging areas. A modular design allows for different receptacle voltages. Optionable overcurrent protection can support multiple receptacles in one enclosure. The result: lower shore power refrigeration cost with increased efficiency, quieter operation and reduced emissions.
