RECOM and CELUS Partner to Bring RECOM Power Designs to the CELUS Design Platform

37 CUBOs built around RECOM power ICs, R-78 switching regulators and RAC AC/DC modules give engineers guided access to RECOM power designs at the point where hardware architecture is decided

RECOM Power, the Austrian designer and manufacturer of power conversion solutions, and CELUS, an industry leader in cloud-based electronics design automation, announced a partnership that brings a first set of RECOM power designs to the CELUS Design Platform on October 13, 2026.

Under the partnership, these designs are represented as reusable, application-ready design content within CELUS. Engineers can evaluate power options at the architecture stage, check them against the supply requirements of the rest of their system, and move more efficiently from product requirements toward reference schematics and bills of materials.

Power is an architecture decision

Every subsystem on a board depends on its supply rails. Input range, output voltage, isolation and efficiency constrain every downstream choice, yet power is often designed in late, after processors, sensors and interfaces are fixed. A mismatch found at that stage means redesign, respin or a derated product.

By bringing RECOM power designs into the CELUS Design Platform, the companies move power decisions to the architecture stage, when they have the greatest impact on development time, cost and design risk.

37 RECOM power solutions, built as CUBOs

The partnership covers 37 RECOM CUBOs. Twenty-nine are built around RECOM power ICs for isolated and switching DC/DC conversion and sit in the platform’s Isolation and Switching DC-DC Conversion functional blocks. Each of these is built from a RECOM reference design and named after its main power IC:

  • RVP001 (4 CUBOs): RVP001-FBN-R V1, V2, V3, V4
  • RVP003 (9 CUBOs): RVP003-FBN-R V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, V6, V7, V8, V9
  • RVP003S (1 CUBO): RVP003S-FBN-R V1
  • RVP010 (6 CUBOs): RVP010-PPN-R V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, V6
  • RVP6501 (1 CUBO): RVP6501-PPN-R V1
  • RVPW011 (1 CUBO): RVPW011-FJ1-R V1
  • RVPW012 (1 CUBO): RVPW012-FJ2-R V1
  • RVPW014 (4 CUBOs): RVPW014-FJ1-R V1, V2, V3, V4
  • RVPW015 (1 CUBO): RVPW015-FJ2-R V1
  • RVPW016 (1 CUBO): RVPW016-FJH-R V1

The remaining eight CUBOs cover RECOM’s R-78 switching regulators and RAC AC/DC converter modules:

  • R-78 switching regulators (6 CUBOs): R-783.3-0.5 V1, V2; R-785.0-0.5 V1, V2; R-78AA3.3-0.5 V1, V2
  • RAC AC/DC converters (2 CUBOs): RAC02E-3.3SK/277 V1, RAC04-09SGA V1

The RECOM designs are represented as CUBOs, the reusable circuit modules on the CELUS Design Platform, also known as Digital Datasheets. A CUBO combines technical specifications with application-oriented information such as interfaces, schematic context, bill-of-materials details and implementation guidance, built from RECOM data sheets, application notes and reference designs. That gives engineers a more complete view of how a RECOM power solution fits into a real system, reducing reliance on datasheet comparison alone.

“Engineers would rather start from a power design the manufacturer has already worked out than assemble one part by part,” said Tobias Pohl, CEO of CELUS. “Each of these RECOM CUBOs brings the power IC, its companion components and the full bill of materials from a RECOM reference design, so engineers can place a complete power stage in their architecture and spend their time on the parts of the system that set their product apart.”

Matched to the power requirements of the whole design

The partnership arrives alongside the platform’s new Power Nets capability. Engineers define supply nets with voltage and direction, and the Design Assistant proposes only solutions whose power specifications match those nets. RECOM CUBOs slot into that workflow, so the converter or module an engineer adopts is checked against the rails it has to feed, not just its data sheet. Designs then continue in the engineer’s own tool through the platform’s integrations with Altium Designer, KiCad, Siemens EDA and Autodesk Fusion.

“Engineers increasingly start their designs in digital environments, long before they open a data sheet,” said Konrad Berger, Head of Global Marketing at RECOM. “Bringing our power IC designs to the CELUS Design Platform puts RECOM power solutions in front of engineers at the moment they define their power architecture, with the application context they need to design them in with confidence.”

Expanding access for a global engineering community

The partnership connects these RECOM designs with the more than 30,000 engineers in over 100 countries who use the CELUS Design Platform and its library of more than 560,000 components. For RECOM, the collaboration provides a scalable way to present its power solutions in real application contexts. Hardware teams discover, evaluate and begin designing with RECOM power ICs in the same environment where system architecture decisions are made.
