Omron Launches S8NR IP67 Power Supply for Out-of-Panel DC Power

Field-mountable design simplifies wiring, improves accessibility, and supports uptime in harsh industrial environments

OMRON Automation has introduced the S8NR IP67 Power Supply, a field-mountable power solution designed to deliver stable, efficient DC power directly on the machine in harsh industrial environments. By moving power supply, distribution, branch-level circuit protection, and diagnostics out of the control panel and closer to the equipment, the S8NR helps manufacturers simplify machine design, reduce wiring and panel modification effort, improve maintenance access, and support reliable operation in applications exposed to dust, moisture, and vibration.

Key Capabilities:

  • Machine-mounted design: IP67 rated enclosure supports direct equipment installation in areas exposed to dust, moisture, and vibration.
  • Simplified wiring and faster setup: Smartclick M12 connectivity helps standardize cabling and reduce point-to-point wiring.
  • Integrated power distribution: Multiple output branches allow one power supply to support several field devices according to application requirements.
  • Branch-level circuit protection: Embedded electronic protection allows cutoff current to be set for each output branch in 0.1 A increments, with startup sequencing to help manage device power-up.
  • Local and remote visibility: LED display and IO-Link communications support local diagnostics, remote monitoring, and configuration.
  • Reduced engineering and maintenance effort: Field-mountable design helps minimize panel design work, simplify installation, and reduce the need to open control panels for basic power status checks
