SPDL 480 W: High Performance in Compact Dimensions

The new SPDL 480 W power supply extends Carlo Gavazzi’s DIN-rail offering.

Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, announces the launch of the new SPDL 480 W power supply. This addition completes the SPDL 1-phase compact DIN-rail series, now available with output powers ranging from 15 W to 480 W, specifically engineered for
electrical panels where space is at a premium.

The SPDL 480 W series features a 45 mm wide metal housing, available in 24 VDC and 48 VDC versions, with or without DC OK relay contact. Its ultra-compact design allows for up to 75% space saving in control panels and up to 60% weight reduction, making it ideal for applications with strict dimensional constraints.

Certified according to CE and UL61010, the SPDL 480 W ensures the highest standards of quality and safety.

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the SPDL series offers:

  • High efficiency up to 95%
  • Wide operating temperature range from –40°C to +70°C (–40°F to +158°F)
  • Integrated protection features: Over Current (OVC), Over Voltage (OVP), Short Circuit (SCP), and Over Temperature (OVT)
  • Built-in active Power Factor Correction (PFC) on all models
  • DC OK relay contact on models SPDLxx4801R

“This new SPDL 480 W model joins our existing 15 W to 240 W range and offers a reliable alternative to the current SPD series,” says Matteo Pinciroli, International Product Specialist. “It delivers enhanced performance, compact size, and advanced features, fully addressing our customers’ needs for space-saving and high-efficiency solutions. With this launch, Carlo Gavazzi further strengthens its position with one of the most compact DIN-rail power supplies on the market.”
