Automation solutions provider Omron Automation Americas has recently been honored with an Outstanding Achievement Award from Renton, WA-based automation tooling systems company ATS Automation. The award was presented in recognition of Omron’s valued support during the COVID-19 epidemic, particularly with regards to a recent project involving the construction of new equipment that will test for the novel coronavirus.

In just fourteen weeks, the ATS Mercury Program delivered fully automated manufacturing equipment that will test millions of people for the virus. “We are living together in unprecedented times and take pause to acknowledge the Omron team’s efforts, talent, and commitment to ensuring the success of the ATS Mercury Program,” says Blair de Verteuil, VP of Operations and Life Sciences at ATS North America. “When ATS asked Omron to contribute ingenuity, time and talent, the team rose to the challenge and delivered.”

Omron and ATS both take pride in “making the impossible possible” and working together to make a truly meaningful impact in the fight against COVID-19. ATS delivers a sincere “Thank-you” to everyone involved in the project.
