New Endress+Hauser Flow Assemblies for Water/Wastewater Monitoring Simplify Installation, Maintenance
Left to right: Flow assembly CAV01, Flowfit CPA25, Dirfit CYA10. These three new assemblies for sensors used in a wide variety of clear water monitoring applications are designed to make installation and maintenance simple and easy.

Whether for small-volume sampling in a cabinet, for in-line measurement or sensor immersion in depths as low as 10 metres, the newest Endress+Hauser flow assemblies are designed for easy installation and simplified, even reduced maintenance in clear water monitoring. Each of these three new models and their compatible sensors assure efficient and online measurement with fast response time to ensure process safety and reliability.

Flow assembly CAV01: This flow cell for a Memosens Wave CAS80E spectrometer or Viomax CAS51nitrate/SAC sensor is designed for optical measurement of critical factors such as chemical oxygen demand (COD), total organic carbon (TOC) nitrate levels and turbidity in low-volume bypass sampling of clear water. Common use cases include measuring and monitoring potable water in a wide range of applications (drinking water, water reuse, process water treatment, etc) or at wastewater plant outlets. These assemblies have a low-flow sampling requirement (from 0.1 L/h to 10 L/h) which minimizes the quantity of water discarded.

The CAV01 features a robust design and new integrated pressurized air cleaning option to reduce maintenance. Pressurized cleaning will extend maintenance intervals. The CAV01 assembly is compatible with all standard path lengths, even up to 50 mm, and for operation under pressure (up to 6 bar). Installation in a cabinet is simple and fast, possible even under pressure, thanks to pre-mounted brackets and fixed sensor orientation. Tool-free deinstallation simplifies maintenance.

Flowfit CPA25: The Flowfit CPA25 universal flow assembly is the successor to Endress+Hauser’s CPA250 for multi-parameter measurement at measuring points in industrial auxiliary processes, water and wastewater plants.  The Flowfit CPA25 has space for any three Memosens sensors with a PG 13.5 screw connection (for example, the pH, ORP, conductivity and oxygen sensors of Endress+Hauser) and is compatible with the Liquiline CM72/CM82 transmitters.

The CPA25 features a significantly improved siphon-like design that optimizes flow to the sensors, thus guaranteeing a fast response time and accurate readings.  Pressure loss also is minimized. This special shape prevents wet chemical sensors from drying out and enables reliable recommissioning after a measuring point shutdown. This prolongs the service life of the sensors. The assembly itself is robust, made of corrosion-resistant polypropylene and can be easily fitted in panels, in measuring containers or on a wall using the integrated holder. An optional fixture also allows for mounting on pipes or railings. Simplified maintenance is assured with the removable service cover

Dipfit CYA10: This is an easy-to-employ, flexible submersible assembly for deploying any 12mm Memosens sensor with 120mm shaft length and no KCI supply to monitor factors such as pH, ORP, conductivity, oxygen in water and wastewater operations and industrial utilities. It can be used in a wide range of applications, including water storage, ground water monitoring, and tailings dam monitoring. It can be installed in up to 10 metres of immersion depth and is suitable for locating in water abstraction, storage tanks, sewers, closed tanks – even in hazardous areas. The Dipfit CYA10 provides shock and impact protection of the installed sensor and strain relief of the installed cable. Its snake-like design saves installation time and space and its flexible assembly body also provides easy access for inspection or other maintenance.

A complete measuring system consists of a Dipfit CYA10 assembly, Memosens sensor, Memosens data cable CYK10, process connection and a suitable ground-based transmitter such as the Liquiline CM44.
