CARLO GAVAZZI is excited to announce the launch of their new EM530 and EM540 Three Phase Energy Analyzers. These compact analyzers are an exciting new addition to their well-established range of energy meters and power analyzers, which are targeted to assist manufacturers and end users in monitoring and managing escalating energy costs. The EM530 is a Class 0.5S (kWh) analyzer which measures currents up to 10,000A via 5A current transformers, and the EM540 is a Class 1 (kWh) analyzer which measures current up to 65A via direct connection, eliminating the need for current transformers. These 3-phase power analyzers can be used for two and three phase systems, as well as wild-leg systems. They can measure most relevant instantaneous electrical variables, energy consumption, and harmonic distortion.
AutomationDirect has added open frame and panel mount power supplies, with integrated UPS functionality, to their RHINO SELECT series of power supplies. The integrated UPS feature provides seamless battery switchover to keep critical operations running when there is an unexpected loss of power.

Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are one of the main components of any automated system. A typical control system has inputs, outputs, controllers (i.e., PLCs), and some type of human interaction with the system, a human machine interface (HMI), for example.
June 22, 2026 Segment and Application In a municipality, wastewater treatment plants typically stand out as the main consumers of electricity. The operational processes exhibit significant load variations throughout a 24-hour cycle, necessitating the use of AC drives to regulate pumps, blowers, and other motorized equipment in response to fluctuating demand. In one wastewater treatment… Read More…
June 17, 2026 When organizations think about seismic preparedness, they typically focus on buildings, backup generators, and emergency response plans. However, one critical component is often overlooked: the rack supporting the network infrastructure. For hospitals, emergency operations centers, municipal facilities, utilities, and public safety agencies, network connectivity is essential during and after a seismic event.… Read More…
