WAGO makes control cabinet solutions smarter, faster, and more reliable than ever. From seamless electrical interconnectivity to innovative automation technology, WAGO is ready for the future, today.
A pioneer in connection technology
For 75 years, WAGO has been a global leader in spring pressure electrical connections and automation solutions. Their drive for innovation and customer-centric approach makes finding a solution at every stage of automation simple and seamless, enabling you to take control like never before.
“WAGO pioneered spring pressure connection technology,” says Jamie McCarthy, Zone Sales Manager of Ontario, WAGO Canada. “Today, WAGO products use push in or tool assisted spring connections, depending on the application. From our terminal blocks on our DIN rails to our connectors, to our automation products and power supplies and relays, we can provide an end-to-end solution inside the control cabinet.”
WAGO has a long history of effective innovations in connection technology. Building on the success of PUSH WIRE®, they invented the universal connection system dubbed CAGE CLAMP® in 1977, setting new standards for electrical connections. This connection technology enables fast, maintenance-free, vibration resistant connections that shave wiring times and labour costs while maximizing reliability and uptime. Moreover, their rugged design means they are at home in even the harshest environment.
WAGO understands the fundamental importance of open architecture and appreciates how it makes automation much easier for the end user. They were one of the first companies to bring open protocols when they began developing their automation solutions thirty years ago. “WAGO introduced the first modular, fieldbus independent remote I/O systems in 1995, and it is still one of the most favorable remote I/O solutions out there.” Today, they have more than 16 protocols available for end users to choose from, making them a top tier provider of flexible, modular automation technologies and a pioneer of open protocols.
Modular, flexible, and built to adapt
WAGO products are designed around a modular building block approach, allowing for high flexibility, scalability, and fast, tool-free installation. The WAGO I/O System 750 and 753 series are extremely modular. They offer hundreds of digital, analog, and specialty I/O modules like digital, analogue, specialty modules, vibration, energy measurement, Safety IO, and IO link slices. “The WAGO I/O system 753 Series, for example, specifically offers pluggable connectors for faster and easier installation,” McCarthy says.
Beyond the control cabinet
Not only can WAGO provide an end-to-end solution inside the control cabinet, but they also have a marking solution that makes it easier to identify and understand the components therein when it is time for maintenance. It covers all your panel requirements, from terminal blocks, to wire and component marking, and it can be used in the field. It has Bluetooth capability, so users can print from their phone – a real time-saver for projects that have a large volume of terminal blocks. WAGO’s portfolio also includes touch panels. They added a new visual panel in 2025 and a web panel in early 2026, driving innovation through research and development.
WAGO’s got your back

2026 is a very special year as the company celebrates its 75th anniversary; traditionally, 75 years is recognized as the diamond anniversary, symbolizing strength and durability. Qualities that WAGO can confidently uphold given the innovations they have brought to the world of connectivity. And, given WAGO’s history, there are surely more innovations to come.
Motion control systems are complicated, but WAGO’s got your back when it comes to electrical connectivity and automation technologies, like their lineup of control cabinet solutions. WAGO develops these innovations because they take the time to understand the challenges their customers face. They support their customers in all regions across Canada and provide data on all their products in all relevant formats, enabling seamless integration and collaboration throughout the entire process. For WAGO, it is important that they take a comprehensive approach to each customer, making it as simple as possible for them at every stage of the solution.
Summary
WAGO is a global leader in connection technology. Over the last 75 years, the company has brought many innovations to the market that have forever changed the way we look at connections. Their control cabinet solutions, for example, address the challenges of modern automation head-on, letting you take control like never before. Your facility changes all the time. Be ready for these challenges with solutions from WAGO that are adaptive, flexible, and modular.
