This year The Standards Council of Canada made updates to the CSA standards, concerning ‘CSA C392:20: Testing of three-phase squirrel cage induction motors during refurbishment’. Before the updates on April 2nd, 2020, the standards covering integral horsepower, three-phrase, alternating current, squirrel cage induction motors had been set in 2011. This new update focusses on clarity in test procedures, and updating requirements to reflect current capability of test equipment. To learn more about these updated standards, visit the CSA site here.
