Outstanding Results for SPS IPC Drives 2018

The international platform for the industrial automation industry once again drew numerous exhibitors and trade visitors to Nuremberg at the end of 2018. They were particularly impressed by the high level of innovation and the number of practical solutions on show.
SPS IPC Drives opened its doors for the 29th time at the end of November. A total of 1,631 exhibitors showcased their latest products and solutions before a highly qualified international audience and provided information on current innovations and trends in an accompanying program of product presentations and talks. Dirk Miller, Executive Vice President Marketing, Rittal GmbH summed up the event as follows: “This exhibition is a constant source of inspiration and provides us with an opportunity to participate in detailed discussions. The attendees really dive deep into our products and offer their own suggestions, which leads to a fruitful dialog. The exhibition keeps us in tune with the market.”
An analysis of the exhibition results from 2018 clearly demonstrates the event’s international importance: Exhibitors from a total of 45 countries made an appearance. After Germany, most of these came from Italy, China, the USA, Switzerland, and Austria. The 65,700 trade visitors came from 82 countries, with the proportion of visitors from outside Germany rising to 28% (from 27% in 2017).
Informative and focused
Trade visitors attended the exhibition with one primary objective: to find out about product innovations and trends and engage with other experts. 94% of visitors said that they would recommend the exhibition, and 94% plan to attend the event again in 2019. SPS IPC Drives becomes SPS – Smart Production Solutions
This year’s exhibition will be held on 26 – 28 November 2019 at Nuremberg’s exhibition center under a new name. SPS IPC Drives is now called SPS – Smart Production Solutions, international exhibition for industrial automation. The name of the exhibition may have changed, but the proven concept and areas of focus will stay the same. All important information is available at sps-exhibition.com.
