Brock Solutions is Partnering with the University of Waterloo to Bring Industry to the Classroom

February 18, 2020

Brock Solutions has partnered with the University of Waterloo Engineering school to bring real-world engineering problems to the classroom.

UW has an initiative called the Ideas Clinic, where students will have the opportunity to design and build solutions to solve industrial problems on physical equipment. Brock has worked closely with the UW faculty to define real-world industry problems in which the students will work in small teams to solve.

The team has successfully completed the Proof of Concept phase of the endeavor leveraging the skills of two groups of UW co-op students, where Brock served as subject matter experts and advisers. The systems are going through refinement this semester and will be rolled out to all second-year students in the summer.
