Niron Magnetics and Aspina to Develop Rare-Earth-Free Motor Solutions Across Global End Markets

Supply agreement will focus on developing next-generation motor technologies using high-performance rare-earth-free Iron Nitride magnets

Niron Magnetics, a leader in rare-earth-free Iron Nitride permanent magnets, and ASPINA, a global manufacturer of precision motors, actuators and system solutions, have entered a supply agreement to support rare-earth-free motor solutions across a range of applications, including automotive, industrial, consumer and emerging space technologies. Niron’s Iron Nitride permanent magnet technology will support ASPINA’s efforts to meet growing global demand while reducing dependence on rare earth minerals.

The agreement combines ASPINA’s expertise in precision motor design and application engineering with Niron’s proprietary permanent magnet platform, enabling new motor designs that reduce reliance on rare earth materials while addressing supply chain concentration risks. The agreement will focus on a variety of high-volume brushless DC motor, hybrid stepper motor, and centrifugal fan blower applications across space, automotive, consumer electronics, and automation industries where performance, reliability, and materials sourcing are critical.
