Schneider Electric’s performance across major global benchmarks reflects consistent progress on climate, social impact and governance
Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, has once again been recognized by global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) organizations for the strength, consistency, and long-term credibility of its sustainability performance.
Schneider Electric achieved strong results in the latest World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) assessments, an invitation-based benchmark covering approximately 2,000 selected companies globally. The Group ranked first in the Social Benchmark and third in the Gender Benchmark, demonstrating leading performance in decent work, ethics, representation, compensation and benefits, and the prevention of violence and harassment. Schneider Electric was also one of only nine companies globally to receive an ‘A’ score under WBA’s ACT Core methodology, recognizing its ability to effectively deliver on its carbon transition.
The Company achieved an EcoVadis score of 87/100, earning a Platinum medal and placing it in the top one per cent of all companies assessed globally for the sixth consecutive year.
“As we reach the final year of our current Schneider Sustainability Impact program, these recognitions reflect the consistency of our approach and the progress achieved over time,” said Fredrick Morency, Vice President of Sustainability, Strategic Initiatives and Innovation at Schneider Electric Canada. “They demonstrate that embedding sustainability at the core of our strategy and operations delivers measurable results. As we prepare for the next phase of our journey, we remain focused on raising the bar and bringing along our stakeholders in this collective sustainability transformation.”
These results are complemented by top-tier ratings across other major ESG assessments, reflecting the consistency of Schneider Electric’s performance across climate, governance, and risk management.
The Company has been included again in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations index by Corporate Knights, reaffirming its position among companies globally recognized for their environmental practices.
In addition, Schneider Electric was awarded Best Communication of Sustainability at the IR Society Awards, highlighting its transparent, consistent and forward-looking ESG communication and its role in reinforcing investor confidence and long-term resilience. More recently, the company was also recognized in Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies™ 2026, reflecting its strong reputation among executives, directors and analysts for strategic execution, leadership and long-term vision.
For the past five years, Schneider Electric’s sustainability strategy has been guided by its Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) program, which set measurable targets across climate, resources, trust and equal opportunities, supporting the company’s ambition from 2021 to 2025. This led to the company being recognized as “Most Sustainable Company” twice by Corporate Knights and Time Magazine and Statista.
