Remote Display Unit Type EXCRDU2 from Lovato Electric

LOVATO Electric expands its range of accessories for soft starters and variable speed drives with the new EXCRDU2 remote display unit.

It is compatible with LOVATO Electric soft starters ADXL series and ADXNP type, as well as variable speed drives VLB series, equipped with an optional RS485 port. Up to 32 devices can be connected to the same unit, even in a mixed configuration.

EXCRDU2 features a multilingual 118x96mm widescreen color graphic display and an integrated RS485 port for connection to multiple motor starters.

Its modern and elegant design, along with its flush-mount execution compatible with the standard 92x92mm cut-out,makes it ideal for front-panel installation, enabling centralized control and monitoring of motor starters.

Through EXCRDU2, it is possible to send motor start and stop commands, as well as monitor the status and main electrical measurements of individual devices. When used for variable speed drive control, it also allows motor speed adjustment, direction reversal, and setpoint configuration in PID control mode, a function dedicated to maintaining a constant physical parameter within the system.

The connection between the EXCRDU2 remote display unit and the motor starters is made via RS485 port (Modbus-RTU protocol), which can reach a maximum distance of 600m between the remote display unit and the farthest starter.
The communication parameters can be freely configured directly via the integrated keyboard.

EXCRDU2 is powered by an auxiliary voltage of 100…240VAC 50/60Hz or 110…250VDC and is supplied as standard with a gasket ensuring IP65 front protection degree.

Furthermore, it is cETLus certified for the North American market.
