Move Your Robot: maxon Launches the Brand New High Efficiency Joint 70!

July 22, 2025

Recently on the maxon shop floor: The first units of a new product have been manufactured. It is their brand new High Efficiency Joint (HEJ) 70, the smaller sibling of their already established HEJ 90. To celebrate this, they took their Business Development Manager and Robotics Expert Mario Mauerer to the shopfloor and asked him in a video interview about the features and the production process that made the HEJ 70 possible.

The HEJ 70 combines compactness and power. It weighs only 1 Kilogram, delivers 50 Nm peak torque, has integrated electronics, a cross roller bearing, heat sink and is IP67 sealed. It fits perfectly into robotic applications, but also is the right choice for other applications.
