Advanced Fan Monitoring Modules for Industrial Equipment Protection

Altech Corporation, a leader in industrial automation solutions, announces its new CFTD fan monitoring modules, designed to protect industrial equipment through intelligent fan current monitoring and temperature control. The series includes three models: CFTD2 (two-fan), CFTD4 (four-fan standard) and CFTDPR4 (four-fan with AC power redundancy).
Each system features precision current monitoring with configurable over- and under-current thresholds and automatic calibration that establishes baseline parameters for accurate fault detection.

Models also include three-wire RTD sensor inputs for temperature monitoring with programmable set points and 4–20mA analog output for integration with building management systems. Three fault recovery methods boost operational flexibility: alarm-only, manual reset or automatic retry with 30-second intervals.

The flagship CFTDPR4 offers AC power redundancy, automatically switching to backup fans when primary power fails and ensuring continuous cooling during power faults.

Technical specifications for the CFTD modules include:

  • Power input: 100–240 VAC single phase
  • Current monitoring range: 0–750 mA per fan channel
  • Temperature display range: 0–100°C (three-digit display)
  • Temperature sensor: three-wire RTD input
  • Analog output: 4–20 mA proportional to ambient temperature
  • Operating temperature: 0° to 50°C
  • Mounting: DIN rail compatible
  • LED indicators provide real-time status updates for quick diagnostics
