Motor Hard Start Capacitors – HHS Series from Hartland Controls/Littlefuse

DCS Hartland Littlefuse HHS Series Motor Hard Start Capacitor 1 400

February 10, 2022

Hartland Controls, a Littelfuse Company‎, offers easy-to-install hard start kits that improve efficiency in compressors. ‎Hard start capacitors allow A/C units and heat pump ‎compressors to start up at maximum efficiency, allowing the unit to reach a normal rated speed up to ten times faster. Hard start ‎capacitors are also ‎useful in difficult conditions, such as low voltage or undersized wiring, and reduce light dimming during ‎‎compressor start-up. The HHS series capacitors eliminate the heat surge that typically occurs at start-up and help extend the life ‎of ‎the compressor, terminals, windings, and capacitor‎.
