New Community Event “Automation Happy Hour” Launches June 12 to Bring Together Canada’s Industrial Innovators - One Beer at a Time

First Ever “Automation Happy Hour”

A new quarterly event is launching in Cambridge that’s poised to become the go-to gathering for automation professionals across Ontario. The inaugural Automation Happy Hour will take place on Wednesday, June 12, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Four Fathers Brewing Co., located at 125 Guelph Avenue, Cambridge, Ontario.

Designed as a casual, come-as-you-are event, Automation Happy Hour is not your typical networking night. There are no presentations, no PowerPoints, and no sales pitches – just good beer, great conversation, and a room full of controls engineers, designers, millwrights, integrators, engineers, and techs from every corner of the automation and manufacturing world.

“This idea has been on my mind since attending events like Manufacturing Happy Hour in the U.S.,” said Colin Cartwright, organizer of Automation Happy Hour and a 30-year veteran of the industrial automation space. “The turnout, the vibe, and the value of that kind of real-world, low-pressure networking experience was something we needed to bring to Ontario. KW is one of the most active automation regions in Canada – and we’re long overdue for a gathering like this.”

The event is free to attend, with the first drink covered by event sponsors: SEW Eurodrive, WAGO, Finder, and Murrelektronik. Light food and pub snacks will also be provided. Attendees are encouraged to drop in anytime between 6 and 9PM.

Spots are limited, and registration is required.
