A cross-Canada roadshow showcasing a smarter, simpler alternative to traditional control cabinets

Beckhoff Canada is proud to announce the MX-System Roadshow 2026, a cross-Canada, in-person event series designed to challenge conventional automation practices and introduce a new era of machine design.

Running throughout May 2026, the roadshow will bring together Canadian OEMs, machine builders, and industrial engineers for an engaging half-day experience focused on the transformative potential of cabinet-free automation.

Rethinking the Control Cabinet

For decades, control cabinets have been a cornerstone of industrial automation. However, they often introduce unnecessary wiring, footprint, cost, and engineering effort. The MX-System Roadshow invites attendees to explore a fundamentally different approach.

Participants will experience firsthand how a cabinet-free architecture can:

  • Simplify machine design and electrical layouts
  • Reduce build time, wiring effort, and footprint
  • Improve scalability and modularity
  • Enable faster commissioning and easier service
  • Future-proof automation systems

The MX-System reduces components by up to 90% while enabling faster planning, installation, and commissioning—delivering measurable gains across the machine lifecycle.

What to Expect

Each stop on the MX-System Roadshow will feature:

  • Expert-led sessions on cabinet-free automation concepts
  • Live demonstrations showcasing rapid system configuration and commissioning
  • Hands-on interaction with MX-System hardware
  • Peer networking opportunities with industry professionals and Beckhoff specialists

Attendees will gain practical insights they can immediately apply to improve machine performance, flexibility, and cost efficiency.

Tour Dates and Locations

The MX-System Roadshow will visit key cities across Canada, including:

  • May 5–7: London, ON | Oakville, ON | Vaughan, ON
  • May 12–14: Burnaby, BC | Calgary, AB | Edmonton, AB
  • May 26–28: Québec City, QC | Sherbrooke, QC | Laval, QC

Each session is a half-day event with complimentary meals provided.

Driving the Future of Machine Automation

The MX-System represents a major advancement in industrial automation, combining decades of Beckhoff expertise into a single, machine-mounted platform that eliminates the need for traditional control cabinets.

By bringing this technology directly to customers across Canada, Beckhoff aims to empower manufacturers to rethink how machines are designed, built, and maintained in an increasingly competitive landscape.
