This year The Standards Council of Canada made updates to the CSA standards, concerning ‘CSA C392:20: Testing of three-phase squirrel cage induction motors during refurbishment’. Before the updates on April 2nd, 2020, the standards covering integral horsepower, three-phrase, alternating current, squirrel cage induction motors had been set in 2011. This new update focusses on clarity in test procedures, and updating requirements to reflect current capability of test equipment.
