New Generation of STOBER’s PE Gearbox Offers Better Performance, Aesthetics
STOBER recently released a second generation PE series gearbox that offers better performance and numerous upgrades compared to the first generation. The PE Generation 2 from STOBER is more attractive, stronger, faster, and smaller while remaining compatible with many Allen Bradley® motors. The two-stage PE units are shorter, lighter, and more compact than the previous generation, but do not sacrifice quality. DRV8231/A 33 V H-Bridge Motor Drivers from Texas Instruments
Texas Instruments’ DRV8231 and DRV8231A are integrated motor drivers with an N-channel H-bridge, charge pump, current regulation, and protection circuitry. The charge pump improves efficiency by supporting N-channel MOSFET half-bridges and 100% duty-cycle driving. The DRV8231/A implements a current regulation feature by comparing the analog input VREF and the voltage across a current-sense shunt resistor on the ISEN pin. The ability to limit current can significantly reduce large currents during motor startup and stall conditions.
