CSA Awards QEYnet Space Technology Demonstration Mission

You can’t be in the business of Satellite Quantum Communications without going to space….

QEYnet is beyond thrilled to finally share that, thanks to the continuing support of the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne, they will soon carry out an orbital demonstration of their space-based Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology.

Eliminating the complexity of typical QKD systems, QEYnet’s Quantum Receiver is compact, highly manufacturable, and affordable. Uniquely designed to put QKD into the hands of the space industry, this technology will protect satellites against existing and emerging cyber threats, safeguard the valuable data they carry, and enable novel, zero-trust architectures not previously possible. Watch this space for future developments as they approach launch.

They extend a huge thank you to their partners Akula Tech and C-CORE for supporting this ambitious demonstration. Additional special thanks to Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS), the incredible program that funded the development and qualification of this technology.
